International Olympic Truce CentreOur deputy director Dora Pallis together with the gold Olympic champion in gymnastics Ioannis Melissanidis – Official visited the Greek American school The Cathedral School in New York. They carried out the educational program based on the Olympic values, discussed the story of the Olympic Truce in Ancient Greece and the modern Olympic Games. The young students had the chance to talk to the Olympic champion and also to perform some simple sport. In the end they interviewed the Olympian for their school newspaper! All children were given the “Respect diversity” book and the book of the Hellenic Olympic Academy “5 circles, 1 world” was donated at the school library.We thank the director Meropi Kyriacou and the school staff for their wonderful hospitality!
