Open Seminar on combating bullying

respecting diversity kidsThe International Olympic Truce Centre and the British Council organised on February 6, 2014 in Thessaloniki, an open seminar for teachers on "Say no to bullying", as a part of the educational program "Respecting diversity".
The seminar was organized in collaboration with the "Thessaloniki European Youth Capital 2014" and the Association of Teachers of English in Public Education in Northern Greece ( E.K.A.D.E.V.E. ) .
Equipped with humor, vitality and inventiveness , Dora Pallis, Deputy Director of the International Olympic Truce Centre and Cliff Parry, Academic Manager and Head of educational programs of the Teaching Centre of Athens, together with a group of Greek Olympians, presented the content of the workshops and the children’s book on school bullying that has been created for the education program "Respecting Diversity" and discussed different approaches to different kinds of intimidation (bullying).
This presentation aimed at teachers and education specialists working with children aged 10 to 15 years, and is carrying the array of experiential workshops conducted this time by the International Olympic Truce Centre and the British Council to students of late Primary School and High School to schools throughout Greece. It aims to be a useful tool for teachers interested in guiding their students or already engaged in programs combating bullying. The seminar was held in English.
